Acupuncture is one of the oldest, most commonly used forms of medicine in the world. Originating in China more than 2,500 years ago, acupuncture is currently one of the most thoroughly researched, practiced, and respected forms of complementary medicine available anywhere.

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, your overall health is determined by the quality of the Qi (energy) flow through the natural pathways of your body (meridians). Acupuncture uses a variety of techniques, including placing very thin sterile needles into specific points on the body, to stimulate and improve your Qi flow. The many benefits of acupuncture include:

  • Pain reduction
  • Stress and tension relief
  • Increased energy levels
  • Stronger digestion
  • Relief from bad habits and addictions
  • Greater sense of overall health and well-being

Cosmetic Acupuncture

Cosmetic, or Facial Acupuncture, is the ancient Chinese practice of using needles to improve Qi and Blood flow to the face in order to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. In addition to needles in the face and body, your experience will be curated depending upon your needs and may include exfoliation, cupping, gua sha, LED red light therapy, micro-current, and/or massage.

Chinese Herbs

Chinese herbal medicine is a 2,000 year old tradition using naturally occurring substances — including herbs — to enhance one's health and vitality. As opposed to Western medicine, the foundation of this approach is to support the body's natural self-healing mechanisms and abilities. Each patient has different needs, and Chinese formulas combine a variety of herbs that work together to achieve optimal results for your unique situation. I prescribe high-quality, professional-grade herbal medicines in pill and powder form.

Microneedling

Microneedling, also known as Collagen Induction Therapy, derma rolling, or skin needling, can help improve the appearance and texture of your skin. It can treat minor skin issues such as wrinkles, acne scars, dark spots, skin elasticity, pore size, and other skin concerns. It is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves repeatedly puncturing the skin with thin, sterile needles. The small wounds created cause your body to make more collagen and elastin, which heal your skin and help you look younger.

Results are sometimes apparent after one treatment and will improve over a series of 3-6 monthly treatments. Results will continue to progress for several months after your last treatment. Results can last up to 5 years.

AMMA Therapy

A classical Asian bodywork style that predates acupuncture, “Amma” is the oldest Chinese word to describe massage. Amma is a specialized form of bodywork therapy that combines deep, therapeutic, circular digital pressure and acupressure point stimulation with Chinese medical principles for accessing and treating imbalances in the energy system. Amma Therapy, like acupuncture, focuses on the balance and movement of Qi (energy) within the body. Whereas the acupuncturist inserts needles into the energy pathways to stimulate and move the energy, the Amma practitioner relies primarily on the sensitivity and strength of the hands to manipulate the client’s life Qi.

Amma is a powerful therapy for patients of all ages for both prevention and treatment of disease. It has been used to successfully treat and/or manage conditions including traumas such as sprains, strains, and fractures; chronic disorders such as arthritis, hypertension, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, circulatory problems, anxiety, depression, gynecological problems, premenstrual problems, perimenopausal problems, menopausal considerations, autoimmune diseases, and neuromuscular disease
